Thanks slimming world
Thanks to slimming world I managed to lose the weight I joined online and the support has been amazing I found it really easy to follow I thoroughly recommend anyone struggling to join up and soon you will see the results
Slowly and surely
I have been on a sensible eating plan for a few years now. My weight loss has been very gradual. Almost a year ago I joined slimming world on line and I am thrilled to have lost 3 stone. It has motivated me to go to the local sports centre regularly. I can honestly say I love my new life style and see it has a way of life. Since my heaviest I have lost 6 stone which equates to a third of my weight. I am still losing slowly and just keep ploding along and I am living my best life ever.

Changed for the Worse!! Cancelled
I just rejoined, like many I put on some “covid” weight and wanted to get back on the wagon.
ONLINE MEMBERSHIP
You now can’t access a PDF of the booklet there’s a very annoying “interactive” app which you have to press “Cheese” scroll through, “Milk” scroll through “Veg” scroll through… you get my drift. Time consuming, irritating and not fit for modern online dieting.
I asked for a refund within 2 hours of rejoining and explained why. I was told a membership pack had already been sent and until that was returned I couldn’t activate my legal right to the 14 day distance selling refund.
The t&c state you will be charged pro rated use, while they send to you and you return your pack in the post. (Bare in mind I signed up to online only, post? Really).
I then threatened to report them to trading standards and suddenly they were able to refund me and cancel my membership without having to receive the pack before.
Know your legal rights, the 14 day distance selling law overrides their T&C SlimmingWorld can’t choose to make it up as they go for their convenience. Don’t be fobbed off with the “wish I could help” “member feedback love all the new changes”.
What a shame as generally I found the diet itself to be easy in the past but this new fiddly process of going in and out of categories is frustrating.
The app remains ok for scanning products so if you don’t buy fresh only packet foods you won’t notice a big change, but if you want to see clearly a list of foods you can/can’t buy during your shops… this will annoy you greatly.

Joined in April, have lost 3stone +since then, l'm still motivated, so hopefully I can keep it up and keep going.

Excellent support and information from slimming World
I have received excellent support from Slimming World whenever I have needed it. It has the best menus for a steady weight loss each week. Should you have a slip-up they are there to offer advice on how to get back on track.

You are there for me, 24 hours a day, any day I need you, there you are with encouraging words, useful strategies, consoling and understanding when things go awry.
Success in the first weeks but no support in difficult times
I joined SW and lost weight easily to start with, learnt a lot and from website and reviews understood that support was there in difficult times. Not so for me. I was in pain from post op, main reason for initially attending, then was sick, had other painful health issues and weight loss was slow. When my dog died, I was drinking a bit more than usual and attended a session where I had gained a half pound. The way the group leader, and the slimmer of the week, started in on me for picking at food (I had not) and cheating! You would think I had gained a half stone. I thought there would be support but no, all the clubs care about is weight loss figures and dont take into account those of us wanting to lose the last stone and just the issues of life that can get in the way. I never went back but the emotional pain from that telling off has never left me. I keep my weight down now by losing a little and then staying the same for a while; this works for me. Being expected to lose weight every single week is too much and our bodies get fed up with the hunger. When I stuck to the diet I was often hungry but persevered and never gained the first pounds I lost but the support offered needs to be real support not the response I got. I wish I had retaliated but I just sat and took it; the message being that whatever is going on in your life you MUST lost the weight. Its not realistic.
Slimming World is Great!
Slimming World has helped me shift the pounds. During the many lockdowns and being forced to work from home, the fridge quickly became my best friend. Since joining slimming world, I have lost 30lbs and am hungry to lose more. Slimming world has been easy and effective! :)

i love slimming world becuase its so generous and you dont starve. I lost a stone in two months despite eating full stomach.

Diary sheets
After going to Slimming World for at least two years.
I asked the consultant for some more Diary slips to fill in my daily food.I was rudely spoken back by the answer she has to pay for them.
Members were using note books which I find not very
Satisfactory for me.
Contemplating whether to leave and find a more encouraging group to join.

Remove my data as requested numerous times
I joined slimming world a couple of months ago
I realised it is not the programme for me after doing some research and cancelled my membership the next day, received a full refund
However, I have asked on NUMEROUS occasions for my data to be removed. I am still getting weekly emails and anyone who had responded to my request has in no way resolved my issue (seems like I just keep getting automated response )
Getting very frustrated now as it is very unprofessional to ignore requests and I am now uncomfortable with the fact that a company will hold your details when you have asked them to be cleared
Please please do something about this slimming world

No wheelchair user support :(
I’m so surprised a multi million pound company can’t / won’t cater for wheelchair users?? Wheelchair scales aren’t hugely expensive… I’m an active wheelchair user that would like to lose a few pounds but there not an option to weight myself in group? I’m paralysed from the waist down and have very little core function so would need to weigh in my wheelchair or a chair for support…
Why aren’t SW more inclusive?? This is discrimination at its finest… please change this as I’d love to enjoy the support of the groups

My group closed and I went to another
My group closed and I went to another, she's ment to be a manager, when I put weight on I said oh the beginning of the week I weighed less she quickly asked the rest of the group if on weigh day they had also picked 2lb up as they came out I was mortified and won't be going back, I'm an emotional eater and this just set me back, maybe it not sw it's the consultants that need training to support their clients they always smile when they take ur money
